Shade Sails Marbella
The Shade Sail Company supply shade sails in Marbella and the Costa del Sol and our aim is to provide an alternative form of shade solutions using contemporary designs.
Our workshop is at Finca Naundrup, next to Club del Sol Tennis, Calahonda in Mijas Costa in Spain. And it is from here that we manufacture, install and distribute sails and associated hardware and fixings, for our own installations as well as to experienced installers in other parts of Europe.
A Shade sail can be used to accentuate any outdoor setting by creating a practical and eye-catching area. Their colourful, stylish and contemporary appearance can be used in residential, commercial, educational or leisure settings.

THE SHADE SAIL COMPANY
Having lived in Sydney and Perth Australia for many years before re-locating to Southern Spain in 2006 we saw an opportunity to bring something to Spain that is a fairly common sight in most towns and cities in Australia.
Here in Spain at the time “Shade Sails” were virtually non existent, with only poor DIY type or incorrectly installed versions of dubious nature. Originally we imported sails from our Australian friends who helped with unending technical advice as well as the products we needed.
In 2009 we made our first sail here in Spain in a small sail loft in Marbella. Since then we have moved to Finca Naundrup where we have a large workshop and warehouse/storage area. We now manufacture all our own sails as well as for our associate installer clients.

SHADE SAIL FABRICS
Our shade sails are made from premium grade high-density polyethylene material, which offers up to 97% UV protection.
Each sail is interlock seamed with twin lock stitching. The shade sail edges are hemmed with 50mm heavy duty UV stabilised webbing in matching or contrasting colours. Stainless steel D rings are used for the fixing points.
For large span sails we use a stainless steel cable system and easy glide d rings which capture the continuous cable at each corner or point.
Please note that we only manufacture custom made Shade Sails and do not stock or install pre-made shade sails.
WHY A SHADE SAIL?
We are continually being warned that too much sun not only causes skin to age prematurely but can also cause Melanoma (skin cancer) and eye damage. Unfortunately research proves this is to be a fact, which means we all need to be aware of the dangers of the sun’s rays and the role that it plays in our everyday lives.
Research also shows that skin is in most danger from UV radiation damage in the first 15 years of life. This means that shade should be a priority in areas used by children and young adults such as parks, school play areas and pools.
Our Shade Sails give a high level of protection (up to 97%) from the sun and look fantastic in your home or business’s outdoor areas, particularly pools, spa’s, barbeques, terraces, children’s play areas or any open areas that require shade.
Shade sails are colourful and are available in any shape. Our contemporary custom designs can enhance and rejuvenate areas that were possibly previously unused, due to the sun or lack of shade.
